Our Regular Checking Accounts are basic and functional. With a minimum balance of $300 you will enjoy free checking and a monthly statement including your canceled checks. Falling below this minimum balance triggers a minimum balance fee of $2.00 and $.15 per debit. Students can obtain a student account with no minimum balance requirements for a monthly service charge of $1.50. With three months of good account history you can obtain a Visa Instant Cash and Check Card. A lot of convenience is packed into this little card for $1 a month! Use it anywhere Visa is accepted for point-of-sale purchases. For Cash Withdrawals, Farmers State Bank has an ATM located at Cenex in Sherburn and at the Sherburn Municipal Liquor Store. Withdrawals from this machine are free for customers using FSB branded Instant Cash and Check Cards. Our customers can also use any Wells Fargo ATM free from fees as well. Farmers State Bank customers age 62 and older qualify for one Free Senior Citizen Account. This account is the same as our Regular Checking Account without the minimum balance requirements.

For those customers who want their money to work for them we offer two Interest Bearing Checking Accounts. Interest is compounded monthly and credited to the account on the last day of the month. We use the daily balance method to calculate the interest on your account. This method applies a daily periodic rate to the principal in the account each day. Current rates can be obtained by contacting Farmers State Bank of Sherburn at 507-764-4311. Our NOW Account requires a minimum balance of $1000. A SuperNOW Account can be obtained with a minimum balance of $2500. With either account there is no per debit or monthly maintenance fees, although falling below the minimum balance requirement will trigger a $10.00 service fee.
